Fathers Day card using Stampin Up Little friends

So, here we are in June and Fathers Day is just a few weeks away now :)

As you can imagine our 4 girls all love making cards and crafty things, and many, many of them! They will of course be making their own Fathers Day card but I thought I would set the trend making one of my own and this little girl & faithful friend from Little Friends stamp set (w 122665 £21.95, c 122667 £17.95) seemed so apt.

A few weeks ago we ventured into the local Blue Cross Animal Rescue centre looking for a new addition to our little family and having registered our interest in re-homing a little dog are now awaiting a suitable match ...

Isn't that little pup just adorable?

I've used a mixture of crumb cake, pool party, very vanilla & marina mist cardstock and used French Foliage  stamp set (w 120845 £17.95, c 121166 £13.95) in pool party as the background script. The ribbon is pool party ruffled ribbon (122975 £8.95 for 9.1m) which I have pleated for texture and the little brads are from the Vintage trinkets in Pewter (118764 £5.50).

The little girl is coloured using stampin write markers in pool party, so saffron, midnight muse, summer starfruit, crumb cake and gumball green. The pup is coloured with white kraft ink and soft suede for the patches. The image is 3D by using double sided adhesive foam dimensionals (104430 £3.25 for 300).

The Dad sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede using the Notable Alphabet set (w 126355 £41.95, c 126357 £33.95)

Popping this card into Cards for men #11 - dad, Cutie pie challenges #45 - 3, 2, 1 (3 layers, 2 images, 1 ribbon), Kaboodle Doodles #174 - for the kids, Crafty Creations #225 - for the boys, Papercrafting journey - masculine, Crafts for Eternity R126 - same letter D (dog, dad, distressed, daisy/daffodils), sweet stampin - fathers day, Crafty Catz #185 - rhyme What are little girls/boys made of?

Hope you've managed to squeeze some crafting in the sunshine this week - be back tomorrow with another creation!
