Vintage style decorated This & That journal

Is it sunny and warm where you are today? It is here and it feels just glorious!!

Have been filling up my this & That pages over the last few days as we took a mini break to sunny Devon. We stayed in a fabulous wooden lodge complete with hot tub at Watermouth Lodges, just a few miles from Woolacombe beach, one of the best family beaches in the Uk with its clean sand and clear waters :) We are a regular visitor there as on site it has 2 swiming pools, indoor and outdoor kids play park & adventure playground plus lovely homefood food in the restaurant/bar. Within reach there are beaches a plenty plus local towns and harbours and National Trust properties to explore. The kids love the rock pools and sands & we love the peace and quiet that affords us!

Anyway here's my cover ....

I've even used part of the packaging the journal came in as I thought it was cute!

You can see a mixture of elements from Fan Fair designer series paper, Artisan Embellishments Kit, First Edition Speciality Paper, More Amore, Natural Trim ribbon, flower trim ribbon, cute clips, antique brads and a stashed crown charm from a previous spring/summer catalogue.

The ribbon bows to prettify the spiral binding is Rose Red taffeta. The pansy is handmade using a butterfly punch and them daubed in Rose Red & So Saffron with a brad centre and glittered petals.

Here's some close-ups ...

And here are 3 of my girls on the beach doing what girls do best ....

This is Watersmeet, a series of natural waterfalls on National Trust land; we walked several miles alongside the river watched fly fishermen and on the lookout for otters and deers - wonderfully relaxing for us and exciting for the girls :)

Back home today (although not to piles of washing as we had washer/dryer in our lodge ;), catch up with you again tomorrow with some new stamp release news!
