10 days of easy & fun DIY Halloween craft ideas - day 3 - Paper Pumpkins & canvas Autumn banner

Did you like the witches broom lollipops yesterday? I got some cute, easy & quick paper pumpkins for you to have a go at today!

Aren't they cute? I followed a fabulous tutorial available from the Create with Connie and Mary Fall Collection which uses the new Gift Bow die to make the fold up pumpkin sides. The card is stamped with the woodgrain image from the Truly Grateful stamp set and then curled, folded up and secured to a pentagonal centre piece then decorated with leaves die cut from the Autumn Accents die. The little twirly ticks are made by slicing very fine pieces of card and wrapping them around a fine paintbrush handle - genius!

For the Autumn banner I used some white canvas cut into rectangles and then stamped with images from the Truly Grateful stamp set in Soft Suede which was also used to sponge edge the canvas to give them a more aged look. The canvas pieces are glued to some baked brown sugar ruffle ribbon which has a lovely elastic stretch to it.

The lettering is made with the Typeset Alphabet bigz dies which are always fabulous to have as a go-to set of letters & numbers!

Back tomorrow with a 5 minute project the kids are going to love!
