Stampin Up christmas clearance sale begins & Santa's paper gingerbread house template & tutorial

Today's the day the Stampin Up christmas clearance sale starts - up to 80% off some products! Head on over to my online shop to bag some last minute Christmas gifts at a festive price!

I had lots of lovely comments on yesterdays post about the little glass Santa decoration - here he is again complete with Santa's papercrafted house :)

I cut my house template from http://meinlilapark.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/free-printable-diy-paper-houses-free.html and constructed it using crumb cake cardstock decorated with Season of Style crumb cake paperstack paper - does it remind you of snowballs? The door is made using the woodgrain embossing folder complete with a vintage faceted designer button. Let's take a look around ....

The roof if made from Cherry Cobbler card with illiminate sponged ink to give it a shine.I've used Fancy Fan embossing folder to give the impression of roof tiles. The edges are eaves are trimmed with naturals ivory card punches with the scallop trim punch. The windows were punched with the petite curly label punch and then covered with some vellum card to give a frosted (or steamed up!) finish.

A stamped oval label using Warmth & Wonder stamp set finishes Santa's house off and the roof can be lifted to hide some treats in :)

Santa is heading back now to hang on to our Christmas tree  - can you spot him?

We'll take a closer look tomorrow :) In the meantime, don't forget the sale!

Bye for now!
