Stampin Up Afternoon Picnic decoupage spring bird & flower pot

Stampin Up's Afternoon Picnic papers are spot on for visualising long lazy spring and summer days outdoors with friends and family enjoying afternoon tea or a home made feast spread out on a blanket.

The colours used are reminiscent of quintessentially English sunshine yellows, fresh grass greens, hazy early morning purple skies & clear blue streams with a dash of romance and nostalgia mixed in. Sigh ......

So, let's bring the outside indoors by  sprucing up my plastic flower pot and little polystyrene bird with some Afternoon Picnic decoupage!

Having lots of scraps can sometimes be a blessing and today's project makes great use of them! Simply tear your chosen papers into lots of little pieces (very therapeutic!) and then stick them down using multi purpose glue in a haphazard fashion to give a random (but entirely coordinated!) look :)

A squirt or two of Stampin Up crystal effects will both seal the papers and give your project a high gloss appearence & tougher coat to it too!
